Get To Know Me

Owner/Founder
Karly Trotter, LCSW-C
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and therapist specializing in issues related to ADHD, anxiety, stress, trauma, loss, and grief. I support patients in individual therapy, run women's support groups, and teach yoga and meditation.

Over the past 5 years, I've worked in community mental health settings, group private practice, and now own my own private practice. I continue to be active in clinical consultation groups and trainings including MBSR, ERP, Understanding Narcissistic Wounding, and the Neuroscience of Trauma. Prior to becoming a therapist I worked in AmeriCorps, taught life skills to teens on probation, and helped develop and implement after school educational programs for kiddos in low income neighborhoods.
My studies and work experiences have shaped my ability to communicate ideas effectively, genuinely meet people where they are, and approach problems with a lens of curiosity, creativity, and non-judgement. My style is warm, engaged, and collaborative. I've been known to let out a genuine laugh in session, remember specific details to reference later, and offer as much (or little) back-and-forth dialogue as you'd like. I welcome feedback and will regularly inquire about your experience in therapy to ensure you are progressing towards your goals and feeling safe.
I warmly encourage you to give individual therapy a chance, join my Women's Support Group, or RSVP for my yoga/meditation classes!
